TotK’s biggest Crime is lack of references to subrosia despite 1) ToTK and Oracle of Seasons being the two Zelda games with a substantial underground area 2) other capcom game characters like the Picori/Minish getting small shout outs (carried over from BotW) and 3) completely unrelated small shoutouts to Oracle of Seasons existing (again, carried over from BotW).
It just really seems “we could have and even might have, we just didn’t” at that point!
Kirk: Mr Spock, this is Ambassador Sarek; perhaps you two are already acquainted?
Spock: it is illogical to assume that, just because we are both vulcan, we already know each other. I believe a less charitable observer might even venture to call it prejudiced
Kirk: shit, sorry, I didn’t mean to imply that at all! Thanks for telling me, Spock; I try to be aware of my own biases but I know I’m not immune to prejudice. I’ll make every effort to do better in the future, and please don’t hesitate to call me out again if necessary
Sarek, to Spock: I was hesitant at your joining Starfleet, but I will admit that perhaps this captain is at least less illogical than his peers
Hey. Why isn’t the moon landing a national holiday in the US. Isn’t that fucked up? Does anyone else think that’s absurd?
It was a huge milestone of scientific and technological advancement. (Plus, at the time, politically significant). Humanity went to space! We set foot on a celestial body that was not earth for the first time in human history! That’s a big deal! I’ve never thought about it before but now that I have, it’s ridiculous to me that that’s not part of our everyday lives and the public consciousness anymore. Why don’t we have a public holiday and a family barbecue about it. Why have I never seen the original broadcast of the moon landing? It should be all over the news every year!
It’s July 20th. That’s the day of the moon landing. Next year is going to be the 54th anniversary. I’m ordering astronaut shaped cookie cutters on Etsy and I’m going to have a goddamn potluck. You’re all invited.
Hey. Hey. Tumblr. Ides of March ppl. We can do this
For every modern trans girl who wishes she could return to the days of being a sumerian eunuch temple priestess, there was a sumerian eunuch temple priestess afflicted by an inexplicable desire to play the synthesizer. These were interpreted as prophetic visions
Ive actually made myself kind of sad now contemplating the poor sumerian eunuch temple priestess having to make do with some sort of Flintstonian bone xylophone instead of a proper eurorack or 808
